Chair statement

This chair is most likely a dining chair that would have come in a set.
The chair is timber construction most likely a pine, with leather uphosltered seating. Beneath the leather would be a moulded plywood. The seat and backrest are screwed together through the timber and timber structure is held together using both dowels and staples.
Although probably not the most expensive chair even in it's prime the chair has some very good features. Its most significant design features are the back rest the seat and the legs.
The back rest is a large curved shape which really stands out in the design of the chair. The seat is joined directly to the backrest and is a large circular shape. The seat is also curved at the front and has a small contour for comfort. The legs follow the curving shape of the back rest and seat which is also a nice feature.

I personally like the overall curvy shape, large backrest, seat and the shape of the legs. However I feel that the seat and the backrest are slightly out of proportion and do not quite match.
